
Described by her clients as an insightful and empathetic truth teller, Barbara Leahy has been in the field of leadership development for over 25 years.
Barbara specializes in executive coaching, team development, and facilitation. She creates safe, non-judgmental spaces for personal and professional exploration. Through compassionate and courageous authenticity, Barbara helps leaders create the change necessary for them to achieve their goals. She works with clients to identify patterns, re-frame limiting beliefs, and create accountability and deftly facilitates team engagements resulting in greater trust, clarity and alignment.
She leverages her corporate human resources and training experience to design, develop, and deliver transformational leadership and team development programs. Barbara spent 12 years as an HR professional at Home Depot. During her tenure, she managed the Employee Relations department, served as an HR Business Partner for the IT department, and was a Leadership Master Trainer for Home Depot’s Eastern Division. Barbara also spent 12 years as VP, Client Development at Life-Long Leadership, an organizational development consulting firm.
Barbara has worked with industry, nonprofit, and government leaders such as Chick-fil-A, SunTrust, Twitter, Aflac, Home Depot, Girl Scouts, Atlanta Jewish Women’s Fund, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Caring Works, and Raymond James to name a few.
An avid learner, Barbara is a certified, master practitioner in the Myers-Briggs Type IndicatorTM. She has also trained in a number of other leadership and coaching modalities including, the Totally Responsible PersonTM program, Five Dysfunctions of a TeamTM, Situational Leadership, Effective Facilitator, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Franklin Covey Focus, Inside Out Coaching and mediation training as well as Improvisational acting.
